Starting Point (6 weeks)
Relaunch on Sunday, March 7
Sundays at 11:15AM (W 102)
This course meets in a relaxed and interactive small group setting to explore the basics of Christian beliefs: Who did Jesus claim to be?  Why is his death significant? We hope you'll use Starting Point as a safe place to better explore the Christian faith. Taught by Jerry Pattillo, Dave Rogers, Julie Bowyer.

Spiritual Rhythms (12 weeks)

Wondering what life in Christ is all about? Join us as we explore the good things of our new life in Him such as freedom from sin, identity in Christ, the indwelling Holy Spirit, and more. Experience meeting with God through the “holy habits” of spiritual disciplines. (Formerly called Spiritual Life.) Textbook: Spiritual Disciplines Handbook, Calhoun. Taught by Andrew Wild, John Elmore.

Deeper In Doctrine (12 weeks)
Sundays at 11:15AM
This class will focus on the historic beliefs of Christians everywhere, using our church’s doctrinal statement as launching point for deeper discussion. Questions and conversations are encouraged as we wrestle with the mysteries of Christian belief and struggle to understand how our thinking about God affects all aspects of our lives. Textbook:
Christian Beliefs, Grudem. Taught by Eldhose Alias, Christopher Graham.

Evangelism Toolbox (8 weeks)
Wednesdays at 6:30PM
Each week we will look into different tools to equip you on effectively sharing Christ with others. We will look at innovative approaches for engaging in spiritual conversation such as art, short films, and sharing your personal story. Taught by Ken Fifer.

S.H.A.P.E. (6 weeks)
Wednesdays at 6:30PM
Discover how God has uniquely SHAPE’d you for ministry. Learn how your spiritual gifts, heart (passion), abilities, personality and experiences can be used to serve Christ more effectively. Every member is a minister at Northwest! Taught by Lenn Kaptain, Karen Katulka, Rebecca Core.

Expansion Courses

Jesus and the Gospels (12 weeks)
Sundays at 9:45AM
The gospel accounts of Jesus’ life, teaching, and ministry are constantly under fire from many who seek to question their accuracy. Gain confidence in the reliability of the gospels through investigating the Jesus of history who is also the Christ of faith.
Taught by Curtis Lindsey.


World Religions: Western Religions & Modern Belief (12 weeks)
Sundays at 9:45AM
What is religion and belief? What is faith in a post-modern culture? Take a journey through Western thought from Judaism to atheism. Suggested prerequisite: Deeper in Doctrine. Taught by Dipa Hart, Chris Taylor.

Essentials: Live by Faith (12 weeks)
Wednesdays at 6:30PM
Take a deeper look at Paul's Epistle to the Romans, each week walking through the essentials of Bible study -- observation, interpretation, and application. We will be considering the theme laid out in the epistle that "the righteous will live by faith." Taught by Matt Dumas.

Community 101 (12 weeks)
Sundays at 11:15AM
Since God is Trinity and we are created in His image, we were designed for relationships. Explore our biblical and theological foundations for connecting in community. Taught by Randy Freethy.

Life Skills Courses

Crown Ministries (10 weeks)
Wednesdays at 6:25PM
Cost: $45 per individual, $55 per married couple
A small group financial study that is both practical and thorough. It covers what the Bible teaches about earning, spending, saving, giving, investing, getting out of debt, and even teaching your children how to handle money. Plan for about two hours of preparation time outside of class each week. Led by Jim and Susan Rainey, Geoff and Liz Reppard.

Pre-Marital Equipping (10 weeks)
Sundays at 11:15AM, Cost: $45 per couple
Preparing, guiding and empowering pre-engaged and engaged couples to build a Christ-centered marriage leading toward oneness.  Come join us in an informal setting as we discuss such topics as communication, finances, sexual intimacy, and conflict resolution.  All couples will also take a personal online assessment followed by a review of results with a mentoring couple. Couples should register online separately unless already married. (There will be appropriate payment options in the registration.)
Led by Mark and Kristy Besse.

Connecting Young Marrieds
Sundays at 9:45AM
Meet with other couples in your age and stage to connect in community while building into your relationship with your spouse. Discuss the joys and challenges of marriage as we look at issues like forgiveness, trust, and expectations. Come any Sunday and join the conversation. Led by Matt and Wendy Dumas, John and Angela Shellene, Doug and Rebecca Sullivan.
