Mission Statement: To mobilize the church to care for orphans by providing gospel-centered resources that explore our adoption in Christ and its profound implications for the global orphan crisis.

 

Together for Adoption has a specific program aimed at helping orphans in Haiti by promoting adoption and providing aid directly to children. The program, “Church-Centered Haitian Orphan Care Initiative,” aims to mobilize the U.S. church to be the hands and feet of the Haitian church to care for its vulnerable children.

 

Together for Adoption offers our church the opportunity not only to give to orphans, but to consider actually adopting children from Haiti. This ministry offers resources for helping in the adoption process while working specifically alongside churches. They also desire to involve churches long-term.

 

 

 

Mission Statement: Working to spread the word of God and show the love of Jesus by example, as we minister to the poorest of the poor in Haiti.

 

Love a Child outreach programs include 14 Love a Child schools, where they educate and feed over 5,000 children each day, and food distribution programs that feed thousands of Haitian families. With partners, they establish churches in villages, hold remote medical clinics and oversee many other projects to benefit the poor in Haiti. They work with Feed My Starving Children, a ministry based in Minnesota that helps distribute food.

 

This ministry is devoted to the children of Haiti year round. The founders live in Haiti at the Love a Child Orphanage. Having contacts on the ground in Haiti is appealing due to the personal communication available and potential for future short-term trips.

 

 

 

Mission Statement: We are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the world with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

 

Samaritan’s Purse has begun an effort similar to the Red Cross that allows donors to text in a gift that will be used specifically to aid the people of Haiti. By texting SP to 85944 people can make a donation of $10 to the efforts of Samaritan’s Purse in Haiti.

 

This is a very simple way to make donations to a faith-based ministry effort. The simplicity of the program makes it easy for people to email, text, tweet, blog, etc., their friends and family the opportunity to participate.
