I joined Northwest’s staff in August 2007 after working in the healthcare industry for sixteen years. As I felt the Lord leading me to step out of healthcare, He gave my wife and I a desire to serve in full-time ministry. We had no idea what the Lord had in store when he planted those seeds in our hearts (Jeremiah 29:11). Northwest has been a place of worship, healing and growth for us as well as for our daughter.
God blessed me with a wonderful Christian mother whom He used to lead me to acknowledge Jesus as my savior at age 8. While I spent my formative years in church, I didn’t really learn what it meant to walk with Jesus until I went to college and saw what God was doing in the lives of others there.
Recognizing my own sin and who I am in Jesus, it is pure joy for me to work with the staff and body that God has assembled at Northwest so that others might experience the joy that comes from living a life with Him (I Peter 4:8-11).
Even though I grew up in the small town of Van Alstyne, Texas, I consider myself a city boy. In short, I like options and convenience. (And, yes, I know, this life is not about me!) I love to be busy, and when I’m not working, I love to just be with my wife and daughter, watch a Harry Potter movie with my daughter, eat a cheeseburger (preferably a Whataburger), travel (when time and money allow) and cheer for the Baylor Bears!
