Children's Ministry Resources Coordinator

It is my privilege to serve as the Children’s Ministry Resources Coordinator here at Northwest Bible Church. My professional and volunteer background revolves around elementary education and working with preschool children. During the 18 years that I was at home raising our three children, I also ran a successful direct selling business. With two of our three children out of the home, it is my delight to have the chance to serve our church, our Children’s Minister and our ministry partners in this role. Gratefully, I have the constant support of my husband Brian (married 28 years).

I grew up in a church-going family and had the privilege of seeing both of my parents actively serving in their church. One of my favorite things to reflect upon is how the Holy Spirit uses people and circumstances to grow and strengthen my relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ.  God has consistently used my role as “mom” to grow me as His daughter whether it be in awe of His grace to me or an increased prayer life to a mother of teenagers! Just as the Lord has used His servants in my life, He has faithfully placed godly men and women in the lives of my children. What a delight it is for me to serve in a way that lets me give back to those who are pouring into the preschool and elementary children at Northwest.

I have quite a collection of children’s picture books, but my years of reading those have tapered off – until grandchildren arrive on the scene someday! For my own pleasure I enjoy reading, most especially historical fiction. I also enjoy digital scrapbooking which replaced years of the traditional type. Trips with my family to the mountains of Colorado are an annual delight though I wouldn’t turn down a beach trip! Joshua 1:9 has given me great comfort in recent years and the Lord continues to prove that He is with me wherever I go.
