Refugee Ministry Leader
I have had the privilege of serving the Lord in many different capacities. We were missionaries from Northwest to Germany for 15 years. Before that we worked with a small church plant and served on the college campus of Cornell University with CRU. Since returning from Germany, I have led teams of Christian artists to help church planters reach out in Italy, Serbia, Germany, and Central Asia by giving art lessons and making friends and inviting them into relationship with Jesus.
I grew up in a God-honoring and church-going home, but never heard the gospel of Christ until I was 19. A CRU staff member at the U. of Missouri explained the good news to me. As I walked home that day, I trusted Christ to forgive my sin and since that day have never looked back. There have been some really rocky roads but he has always been there to guide, help and reveal more about Himself.
I love my family—husband, 3 daughters, 6 granddaughters, and a new grandson. Mark and I have been married for 45 years. I am always amazed by Mark’s wisdom and knowledge. I also love art and enjoy oil painting. I have done a painting of one of my favorite verses: Isaiah 58:11--“And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”
