I am humbled at the opportunity to be a Children’s Ministry Resident with Northwest Bible Church this year. Prior to this position I served as an Admissions Counselor for my undergraduate university and worked at Pine Cove summer camps while I was a student there. I am a Biblical Counseling student at Dallas Theological Seminary and am so excited to grow and serve in this ministry.
I grew up in a loving home, and found my identity in Christ while in High school. My father was in the military so we had to move around a lot and weren’t able to get plugged into a church until high school. That is the reason for my passion with youth and children’s ministry, that I did not have the opportunity till high school and I wish that every child can have the community that a Church can provide at a young age. I have worked at Pine Cove Summer Camps for three full summers and learned so much during my time with them. I hope to bring the exuberance and genuine joy for the lord that Pine Cove helped instill in me to my time working in the Children’s ministry here at North West Bible Church.
The thing that brings me the greatest joy is being hospitable to others and allowing them a chance to rest with their focus on Christ, my inspiration for this stems from Romans 12:13. I love spending time with friends and family doing anything. Whether that is reading, playing board games, or a spontaneous trip to a state park. I enjoy making new memories and trying new things. My goal is to visit Argentina or Spain for my next adventure, but a place I have always dreamed of visiting is Australia! I love to cook for people and try new dishes so if you have a favorite recipe please share!
