The opportunities to expend yourself for God’s glory in this ministry fall into two areas: internal and external.

Internally, we would love for you to jump into serving with one of our ongoing programs or on the leadership team. Do you enjoy welcoming new folks, the arts, event planning, publicity, sharing the gospel, teaching…let us know! We would love for you to grow here by using your talents/passions.

Externally, in the community, we are serving our neighbors in the city to both meet the evident physical needs and underlying spiritual needs of those with whom we are living life. Often we find ourselves leaving more full, finding God meeting our needs in the process of giving ourselves away. We are serving in three main areas, if you are interested in any of them, just give us a ring.

Hidalgo: We are serving in the Hispanic Community of Hidalgo by leading classes, bible studies, camps and just having a great time caring for families and kids.

Our Calling:

People need the Lord. Regardless of their address or lack thereof – they need Christ.

Northwest Bible Church partners with Our Calling, a ministry to the homeless of Dallas. Our Calling's mission is to glorify God by leading homeless people to Christ and stabilizing broken lives as they begin a God honoring lifestyle.

Our Calling is about meeting the unmet needs of the homeless. Starving men and women walk into shelters and cafeterias each day. However, even though their physical hunger is met they often leave starving for hope, compassion, answers and care. Who will help them better themselves? Who will teach them a better way to live? Who can help them discover a reason to live? Our Calling introduces them to Christ and to a lifestyle that will change their future through life skills & Bible study classes, 12 step recovery classes, mentoring and resourcing.
