NORTHWEST | Campus Update

Date: Friday, May 1, 2020

Click to hear an important update on our campus closure.

We know you have lots of questions about Northwest’s reopening plans, given Governor Abbott’s announcement this week about reopening Texas this weekend! Our goal is to keep you safe and up-to-date.

Northwest Bible Church’s campus will remain closed at least through May 31.
Livestream will continue this Sunday at 9 a.m., and will continue even once the campus is reopened and we’re together again in person.

Although we are excited about the improvements that seem to be on the horizon with the new announcement about the state slowly reopening, we recognize that Texas is a big state and Dallas County is the second hardest-hit county by COVID-19. Unfortunately, the case count and death toll aren’t going down consistently in our area yet, and our top priority is to keep the body of Northwest safe and healthy.

There are many factors that will play into our reopening plan, and our elders and church leaders have been wrestling over this topic for weeks. We want to take time to put the right measures into place to protect the health and well-being of our multi-generational church body, staff, and volunteers. We’re praying for wisdom as we sort out complex considerations. We know you may have questions or suggestions related to reopening, and we invite you to share them by emailing feedback@northwestbible.org

Our continued prayer is that we will lean into desperate dependence together, trusting God with the unknowns and taking time to rest in His grace. You can pray with us each weekday at 12 p.m. via Facebook live on our Facebook page.

We’ll keep you updated as we have more information to share. We can’t wait to worship with you online Sunday!
