Refugee Ministry Leader
I am honored to serve Northwest Bible Church as one of the Community Leaders for the Northwest Community Center. I joined the team in November 2015, after having volunteered for over a year in several roles at the Center. Prior to that, I worked in radio ministry and the insurance field. I have been blessed to call Northwest my church home since January 2014.
I was born and raised in a home that followed Jesus and taught the Bible. I knew how to quote scripture before I could even read! I accepted Jesus as my Savior at the age of five on a park bench with my mother next to me. At the age of twelve I went on a mission trip to Mexico, where that experience shaped my outlook in serving Christ. I knew ministry and outreach would be where Jesus would place me. I’ve been involved in small group ministry, children’s ministry, discipleship, and cross-cultural outreach. I’m passionate about teaching the Bible and ministering to refugees whether here or abroad.
I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife Kristen, to whom I’ve been married for three years. I love books, going to the movies, and enjoying new and exciting foods. I am currently finishing up a Masters in Cross-Cultural Ministry at DTS. There is a verse that my wife and I adhere to for our family and life’s choices. James 4:15 states, “Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.’” God is at the forefront of our life and our choices.
