Minister of Recovery & Generous Living
I have been a member of Northwest Bible Church since marrying my husband, Mark, in 2011. I am honored to serve as the Minister of Recovery and Generous Living and have the privilege of serving as a member of Northwest's Senior Leadership Team. I believe God has an abundant life of joy planned for all of us which involves our time, talent and treasure.
In my role here, I lead our Recovery for Life ministry and have benefited greatly from the 12-step process. The relationships formed while journeying through recovery are life-giving. God’s grace in the steps is abundantly more that I expected.
My experience in the generosity space comes through partnering to found Women Doing Well, an organization whose mission is to equip Christian women of influence and affluence to live and give in God’s image. I have served with the National Christian Foundation helping givers maximize their resources to the Kingdom, and at a large church as the Director of Lifestyle Stewardship. My earlier career includes work as a petroleum engineer in the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska and South America as well as legislative work for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC.
I grew up in a Christian home, but did not know Jesus personally until I was 35. At that point, I was determined to make up for lost time and appreciate God’s sense of humor and patience during that season. I have found my purpose best described as “sparking impact” by helping others dig deep within to release and celebrate their unique design for pursuing an abundant life.
I love to travel and learn about other cultures with my husband. We enjoy hosting missionaries and learning more about the front lines of ministry around the globe. I dig inline skating and hiking in the mountains, but not both at the same time. Romans 13:15 is my daily source of hope and trust, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
